Within a day of any of 46 states posting a WARN notice from an employer on your list, it is on your private alert page and in your Slack — with that employer's full filing record attached. Then it alerts you a second time, 14 days before the separation date named on that filing — the week those workers actually reach the market, roughly two months after the filing scrolled off everyone else's feed. Why the free state feeds plus a keyword filter miss layoffs

Fair question; here is the answer with numbers from this build. Every state publishes its own WARN feed and you can grep them — but employers do not file under one name, so a filter tuned to one spelling quietly drops the rest. Across 57,975 notices:

Watch Sodexo as one string and you miss the other 14 spellings the states filed it under. That resolution pass — not the scraping — is what you are paying for, and it is re-run on every daily refresh. Counted from the same archive this page publishes.

“Normalized” — what that actually means

Counted from this build, not an adjective: the employer’s name alone is published under 8 different headings. MD publishes no header row at all, so those columns are matched by position. Every source is mapped to the same 11 fields on every refresh, dates parsed to ISO, employers resolved to one canonical name so a company can be followed across state lines.

Delivery. Your alert page, RSS feed and optional webhook go live on the next refresh after checkout (at most 24h): press View content in your receipt and click Open my alert page, or use the alert finder with your email and page key. Refunds. Full refund within 14 days, no questions; nothing auto-renews. Invoices. Gumroad issues the receipt; add your company name, VAT number or PO yourself. Contact. The scraper is open source. This archive is not reproducible from it.

Collection uses the Apache-2.0 biglocalnews/warn-scraper — fork it, it is good software. A fork returns whatever each state portal serves today, and three states have taken their history down. 4,515 notices here were rebuilt one Internet Archive capture at a time from pages the agencies deleted; those three portals list 454 notices between them right now. We have rebuilt every row every day for 12 consecutive days (public commits since 2026-08-30, none missed), so the gap widens the next time a portal rolls a year off.

Michigan’s portal lists 116 today; this file has 2,202 (2000–2025); Pennsylvania’s portal lists 310 today; this file has 1,895 (2011–2023); Connecticut’s portal lists 28 today; this file has 872 (2010–2025).
